Fire - Elizabeth Venuti 2019
A soft glow
You feed it and it will grow
The flames flicker in the night
While it gives off a dim light
The heat burns your eyes
The smoke takes over the skies
Extremely rough
And incredibly tough
It grew
And it’s all because of you
It swallows and eats
People as treats
Burns everything to the ground
Without making a sound
It fills you with fear
But you shall know it will reappear
Game - Carly Goldberg 2019
Shining lights on the field
The two teams start their cheer
The crowd is load screaming our name
Just waiting to start the game
When the whistle blows history will be made
For we shall score in the first four minutes of the game
The ball's in play and so we begin
The crowed is as loud as it can be
Hearing the coach calling your name
To shoot the ball and bury it with pain
The ball goes in and you don’t realize it at first
But once you see your team running at you, you know you just scored
Can barely hear the whistle to start the game
Because the crowd is cheering your name
We start it back up and so it begins
The confidence of your team is through the roof
Excited and nervous
But that’s okay, because that means we all want to play
