What’s in 20 in Years?
and our inner child
Twenty years ago, in 2004 a study conducted by the Marist College School of Management and the think-tank Patterns for Progress, found the need for a regional organization to promote ground up economic development among the growing minority population in the Mid-Hudson Valley – a bold concept even today-. With funding from the Dyson Foundation, Gateway to Entrepreneurial Tomorrows (GET) was born. Later on, Entrepreneur360 and ABClatino media network complemented the cadre of free services to the community.
THe rest is history along the way:
Hundreds of minority-owned businesses were assisted and started.
Several latino nonprofit organizations were started.
Seven regional Entrepreneurial Conferences and Expos.
The first ever Hudson Valley Procurement Conference and Expo for minority businesses.
Offices in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Haverstraw.
Microloan funds and Business Incubator.
Four NY Latino Forums.
Community Room.
Art Exhibits, Music, and Theater for children.
Let’s Talk Health free programs during and after COVID to address the community needs.
Path to Prosperity for migrant women in the NE Dutchess county.
The first multimedia, bilingual, interactive, digital monthly magazine.
Two weekly radio programs in Spanish: La Revista al Aire y Mesa de Barrio.
Social Media and YouTube channel.

Well over $150 million in economic impact across the region.
