The least common of

the senses that humans use

We have grown up knowing and using five senses (smell, taste, touch, vision, hearing) with which we relate to others and the world around us.

However, in the last 4-5 years scientists have studied and accepted new internal senses of the human body as or more important than the external senses. These senses are integrated into two large areas:

. Proprioception, the information that my brain has about my

body posture, facial   expression and how I feel in my body, and

. Interception, information that comes from within the organs.

The ones that the brain pays most attention to are the intestine,

breathing, lungs and heart.
