Monique Allain is a multidisciplinary ART(IV)IST committed to socio-environmental sustainability, who investigates IDENTITY and its correlation with space, time and otherness.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to French/Mexican parents, and settled in North Salem in 2020, Allain uses video, photography, painting and other techniques to promote situations of connections.

She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in visual arts (2011). She also participated in an artist residency at Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris 2008). Her work is experimental and procedural and has been shown in US, Brazil, Mexico, France and Italy, in galleries, museums, institutional and public spaces.
