As a young boy growing up in New York, I read tales about sleeping giants! However, in the U.S. there is a real sleeping giant; the U.S. Latino population is a true sleeping giant, and the facts support that premise.

The economic output of Latinos in 2020 was $2.8 trillion, up from $2.1 trillion in 2015 and $1.7 trillion in 2010, according to a report by the  Latino Donor Collaborative in partnership with Wells Fargo.

If U.S. Latinos were an independent country, their gross domestic product would rank fifth in the world, surpassing those of the United Kingdom, India, and France. Latinos,  who make up 19%  of the U.S. population, are responsible for more than half of the U.S. population growth from 2010 to 2020.  Remember, in terms of homeownership, Latino households grew by 29.2% from 2010 to 2020, compared to 5.8% for non-Latinos.

All these facts and statistics were provided thanks to the most recent U.S. census, they make clear what I realized over twenty years ago. Latinos can be a force not only in this country, but in this world; if only we would wake up and realize it. The U.S. needs our involvement  if it wants to remain a world power, and we need to grasp that fact now more than ever to stop the politicians from treating us like a plague.

LATINOS DO NOT KNOW HOW POWERFUL THEY ARE
