The Mexican State of Quintana Roo, the tourist Riviera Maya in the Yucatan Peninsula, keeps the secrets of the ancient Mayan culture. Today we visit the ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itzá, a Mayan city that stood out from 600 AD, until 1221, when power in the region was transferred to Mayapan.

We also visit the cenotes, of the Mayan dzonot that means water cave. There are different types. Their classification is related to their age, you can find: open pit, semi-open and underground or in a grotto. The mature cenotes are those that you will be able to see completely open and the youngest ones that still keep their dome intact.
