Menopause

Disappearance of ovulation and therefore of menstruation and the reproductive capacity of women; When it is natural, it usually takes place between 40 and 50 years.

Changes in your period: This could be what you notice first. It may be that your periods are no longer regular. They can be shorter or last longer. It may bleed more or less than usual. These are all normal changes, but to make sure there is no problem.

Consult your doctor if:

- Periods occur very often from each other

- It bleeds a lot

- You have blood spots between periods

- The periods last more than a week

- Periods return after not bleeding for more than one year

Women may have different signs or symptoms in menopause. That is because estrogen is used by many parts of the body. As a woman has less estrogen, she may have several symptoms. Many women feel very mild symptoms that are easily treated with lifestyle changes, such as avoiding caffeine or carrying a portable fan to use when one of the sudden heats, also known as hot flashes, begins. Some women do not require treatment at all. Other symptoms may be more problematic.
