China in Latin America

Latin America and China separated by great oceans, seemed very busy in continuing their own parallel paths.

However, at the beginning of this century there was a very special historical conjuncture, it would not be an exaggeration to say that the planets aligned correctly, the United States, the main partner of Latin America, was in the aftermath of the events of September 11, the national defense and military explorations in the Middle East, of which Iraq and Afghanistan are the most notable, created a huge gap in Latin America. At the same time China, that was in a fast takeoff, came to the conclusion that the natural resources of Latin America were of high value, and that this potential market of the region was ready for the supply of a capable and willing supplier of expansion.

The cumulative effect of Trump management, the withdrawal of the Paris agreement on climate change, as well as the exit of the TPP Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, have given new vigor to Latin America's relationship with China.
