Zittel, Andrea:
A-Z wagon stations are sleeping
cabins that Zittel began making in
2003 to entice friends to visit her
remote desert home in Joshua Tree,
California.

Zittel, Andrea:
Raugh was a body of work titled
Raugh which aimed to satisfy a set
of four rules : it would deteriorate
beautifully, hide dirt rather than
reveal it, be comfortable and make
something out of almost nothing at
all. These semi-flexible regulations
alowed for work that was both more
organic looking than her former
geometric, space savings designs
and both accomodating of both human and material weaknesses.
There is a kind of requirement of
domesticity or family life as a methodological framework within which
to investigate form and materials,
time, work and productivity.
