Larry Weinberg ’ s calm and welcoming demeanor created an environment where artists at all levels could meet on common ground to grow together . This also allowed artists and community members to connect and network who would not have done otherwise .
The art center , through Larry and Susan , thought deeply about the needs of their students and encouraged artists of all ages by offering classes that met students at their level and needs . Examples of this would be offering day time classes for home school families , going to senior centers or teaching in libraries . Their willingness to adapt to the changes during the pandemic allowed them to thrive during that time .
Larry and Susan are not only highly competent but also possess outstanding interpersonal skills . They remained dedicated to the art centers role in the community by staying engaged with their organization ’ s mission . Their positive impact on the community rippled past the city limits to the greater county .
