Farewell 2024 Anoka Royal Ambassadors

If I had to describe my year as an Anoka Royal Ambassador in 3 words , I would use uplifting , impactful , and enlightening . As an ambassador , I have learned more about myself and the community of Anoka . We have traveled to cities like Glenwood and met passionate community members eager to tell us about their festivals . We volunteered down the street at Hope for Youth and learned how they make Anoka a better place for many families . Through our events , I have learned how to connect with numerous individuals and gained confidence in engaging with those around me . I have felt uplifted as an Anoka Ambassador by my community of Anoka and how they connect our city . I have learned that there are many moving parts in Anoka , such as city officials , the Halloween Committee , and the Anoka Halloween Royal Ambassador leadership team . The community has uplifted me as an ambassador by providing countless opportunities to volunteer and share my love for the city . The Halloween Committee has allowed our program to operate and provided wisdom during our reign . The ambassador leadership team has uplifted me during my entire time in the program , both as a candidate and an ambassador . Every person on the team volunteers wholeheartedly and sacrifices their time for the program . They are all inspirational in their love for Anoka , volunteerism , and community .

The impact of my Anoka Ambassador experience will be something I will hold onto for the rest of my life . My mom has stepped out of her comfort zone to attend nearly every parade and be the best support . After we lost my dad to cancer in August of 2023 , we were both nervous for this year , especially after I became an ambassador . Despite grieving him , my mom has shown up every day for me and continues to extend her love in all areas of my life . In addition , other people have stepped forward to show up for me during my time as an ambassador . My sister , grandparents , aunts , uncles , and friends have supported me incredibly during my reign . I also feel impacted by the countless has-beens and chaperones who have graciously given their time to assist us at events . I consider them my closest friends and cherish the memories we have shared . Finally , Claire and Tasha , my “ crown sisters ,” have been most impactful on my year by teaching me the importance of friendship and understanding .

I have felt enlightened as an Anoka Ambassador because my eyes have opened to the opportunities presented to me . Schmitt Music has made this year possible by sponsoring my candidacy and continuing to check in on my ambassador year . My selection team has also enlightened me because they saw the potential of passion in a timid girl and helped her gain the confidence to become outgoing and serve gracefully as an ambassador .

My year as an Anoka Halloween Royal Ambassador has been incredible , thanks to the support of those who believed in me during this last year . I am eternally grateful for this opportunity and will never forget what it has taught me . So much pumpkin love !
