Our title partners Digicel in conjunction with the NBA and Sportsmax held the first NBA Jumpstart Players and Coaches Clinics August 29th - 30th 2015 at the JSC Sports Complex.
The 2 day intensive camp lead by NBA Coaches Bok MacKinnon and Troy Justice with support from local ABBA coaches tested over 30 participants basic fundamental skills, speed, accuracy and agility as well as advanced technical training that will take the participants game to the next level.
The clinic was targeted to boys ages 13 - 16 of which the top 5 were selected to represent Antigua & Barbuda in an Elite NBA Training Camp later this month in Trinidad & Tobago against the top 5 from British Virgin Islands, Barbados, Jamaica, Bermuda and Turks and Caicos Islands.
Representing Antigua & Barbuda in Trinidad & Tobago later this month will be Lincoln Weekes, Anthony Greer, Javon Simon, Kyon Simon and Kellony Tonge
The best players from the Elite Training Camp will then have the chance to be put through their paces by NBA coaches and an NBA ‘Legend’ at NBA Facilities in the United States.
