The 2016 League promises to be equally as exciting with teams going through the process of re-tooling and preparing for what will certainly be an amazing tournament.
The National Teams produced their finest results in the Caribbean Basketball Confederation championships over a decade. The ladies, participating for the first time since 2007 finished fifth, and the male team finishing with the bronze medal in third. This third place finish qualifies Team Antigua and Barbuda to participate in the CentroBasket Tournament next summer.
We also had the drawing of our successful car raffle in which Harney Motors partnered with ABBA, and congratulations go out to Mrs. Asha Phillip for winning the grand prize of a Toyota Car.
Being the avid basketball fan that she is, the prize could not have been won by a better person.
Coming up in a few days will be the Annual Business League Competition, and as usual, the ABBA Executive will be fielding a team in this competition. Following this the Under-20 National Team will travel to Montserrat to compete in the 2015 Leeward Islands Basketball Championships…….Basketball truly never stops.
