The elements of the logo are as follows:
PERIMETER: The entire logo is bordered in GOLD and in 3D to give it a clean and modern look, and to indicate our aspirations.
GOLDEN SUN: The Golden Sun against the black backdrop is a direct representation and imagery from the flag of Antigua and Barbuda.
BASKETBALL: The “half-basketball” depicts the game of basketball that the logo and association represents
WORDMARK: The text written above the logo is the name of the Association.
STARS: The 3 stars across the top of the logo represents the three times Antigua and Barbuda has qualified for the CENTRO Basket tournament.
The logo above was designed with an eye towards creating a brand that is fresh, clean, classy, modern, and one that is marketable. This logo not only looks great on television, but also has the potential to open multiple opportunities for merchandising, championship rings etc.
The cleaner, more modern symbol will "pop" better during TV telecasts. The less-busy logo will also show up better on "third screens" increasingly used by sports fans: cellphones, laptops and iPads
