Barbuda
Famous for being one of Princess Diana’s favourite vacation spots, our sister island Barbuda offers a serene atmosphere that is the ultimate “happy” escape. This natural beauty has a charm that is uniquely its own. It is often said, that if Christopher Columbus were to return to Barbuda that he would still revognize it. That goes without saying, that this tiny island is still relatively untouched and is an eco enthusiast's dream.
Barbuda is well known for its bird sanctuary, the second largest in the world, which houses the immaculate Frigate bird. While hiking through its popular caves keep an eye open for the Fallow Deer . With only a population of 1200 people the island has a very secluded feel. Barbuda has the deep blue Atlantic on one side with wild beaches full of driftwood and shells, and the Caribbean Sea on the other, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and with plenty of opportunities to see turtles, rays, sharks, barracuda and many other varieties of tropical fish.
The beauty of Barbuda is in its natural and peaceful way of life. It's definitely not for visitors who are looking for sophisticated nightlife or lots of imported tourist attractions - it's a place where you can relax, slow down, meet local people and make your own entertainment.
