love VS. Lust
"Anyone who doesn't believe in 'love at first sight' is only because they've never experienced it"-a quote from Sex & The City

en are visual and
women are
stimulated by touch. What catches our attention the first time we see someone can vary. It can be their eyes, their face, their cut of their muscles, the curves in her body. It can be their smile, their legs and yes even their lips. We all can be caught up with just one look.
Yet Jesus came and said this:
You have heard that is was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery,' "But I say to you whoever looks at a woman and lust for her has already commited adultery with her in his heart.
Matthew 5: 27-28
So much for looking!!! But the deal is God understood the power of a look. He understood the power of desire. Not only does God understand it, Satan is masterful at manipulating it!
When we lust, we are expressing a strong desire to have something. This thing becomes all of about US. 'Who cares if he's married?' 'Who cares if she's not the kind I would ever bring home to my mother?' 'Who cares?' of any kind goes right out the
window. Consequences
don't even make the list of things to consider. It is all about immediate gratification & self pleasure.

wasn't with another man
but a piece of fruit; a piece
of fruit God had forbidden
them both to eat. BUT "it was
pleasant to the eyes......"
What do we do when things
are pleasant to our eyes
especially when they are
available and right in front
of us? It's one thing to lust
the star athelete or the chic
on the movie screen but
when they are standing right before you....offering NO resistance.....basically looking right back at you saying, "I'm yours for the taking....."
