waiting patiently for the right opportunities and times for God to use me as He sees fit. Now while I would much rather be reading my Kingdom Exegsis book, I'll be making time to read what the world is reading. This bothered me initally but then God said use what you read and turn them in to bibical lessons and teachings. It's important as minister of reconciliation, which is what all believers are by the way, to stay aware of what is going in the world we are assigned to reach. Last month's novel prove to a Poster BOOK-for a world who truly needs God and His gift of Salvation.
EVERYONE who read Girl On The Train was pleased with the novel as whole. Ladies who couldn't make the Meetup even chimed in on our website that this was a good read. One of the most intriguing discussions we shared is that some ladies found Rachel's life depressing and a downer for them each time they read her and yet I felt as though I was so blessed that was not my life! What have I been complaining about really??? We all had a good laugh at that but it just goes to show you that perspective is everything.
It was also very interesting to hear several ladies share that Paula Hawkins gave them a good perspective on what it is like to be an alcoholic. Knowing individuals who actually live in this world can be hard to understand why they do what do....but Rachel made it clear and empathy + sympathy became a result for those who read how much of a struggle it can truly be. Now the plot...that's another story.. so check out my blog!
