PPL Engineering Services Ltd – Authorising Engineer
Authorising Engineer for all electrical disciplines: Low Voltage, High Voltage, Aeronautical Ground Lighting( AGL) and Hazardous Areas. Full responsibility for ensuring that the processes needed to comply with formal Safe Systems of Work, Statutory Requirements and Company Safety Rules and Procedures are implemented, administered, monitored, and audited. Developing site and system specific Safe Systems of Work and training regimes to comply with current legislation and procedures. Engaged by maintenance organisations overseas in Afghanistan, commercial FM organisations and NHS Trusts in the UK. Delivery of City & Guilds electrical training courses when required.

AP Associates- Associate Authorising Engineer and Training Consultant
Associate Authorising Engineer for all electrical disciplines: Low Voltage, High Voltage, Aeronautical Ground Lighting( AGL) and Hazardous Areas.
Completion of compliance audits and training for UK clients and overseas in Afghanistan. Successful delivery of C & G 18th edition training to over 100 delegates.

Lightsource Renewable Energy LTD- Senior Authorised Person
Unrestricted authorisation for HV switching on solar farm HV / LV distribution networks up to and including 33KV. Approved and issued switching schedules and all related safety documentation for all work and testing on the HV / LV distribution networks. Completing maintenance of HV switchgear including programming and testing of protection & G59 relays.

Implementation, auditing and training of company safety rules for work on high-risk electrical systems across a diverse client base. Training, assessment and on-going mentoring of Authorised Persons for all electrical disciplines.
Provision of Authorised Person duties for all electrical disciplines. Planning, liaison and management of staff resources for planned shutdowns. Emergency callout HV switching for EMCOR and other FM companies.
