In 2008 the crime rate, statistics show 94 people have been raped 555 have been robbed 2629 have been assaulted 22 have been kidnapped and 1989 have had there property damaged.
18th September- 2012 the Victorian police released its crime statistics how an increase in crime in the Melbourne Police Service Area, which includes South bank. For some many people to be assaulted or robbed in one-year south bank would not be a great place for families to stay if they want to be safe.
Types of transport people take in south bank is usually by train trams or busses they aren’t many freeways in south bank so not a lot of people there would have cars because they are so close to the city. This is very convenient for people who work in the city because taking public transport isn’t expensive at all, and there isn’t any traffic on trains or trams but since there aren’t many cars in south bank this means buses wont have much trouble on the road either.
