Introduction If not the most, then one of the most watched sports in North America is American football. Football has affected my life in so many ways that I grew to love the sport at a young age. I am interested in doing research on how the game of football has changed through the years and then comparing and contrasting the past and the present day rules. Also, this provides a contrast between the equipment used from the first days of football to today’s technology applied to football equipment. Neuropsychologist Kim Gorgens displays in her Ted Talk that NFL players with 3 or more concussions has severe memory issues.Football is a heavily contact sport that requires equipment to prevent injuries for the most part.
