A Christmas Traffic Fatality
Coll and Agnes Macdonald retired to
live at Bailey’s Hotel in Kensington,
London presumably to be near their
younger daughter, Eva: His elder
daughter, my grandmother, living in
Ireland at this time.
On December 27th 1929, Coll
Reginald Macdonald died aged 79
after being run down by a
“motorvan” while crossing
Kensington Road, not far from the
Royal Albert Hall on his way to feed
the birds in Kensington Gardens.
