The beginning
On February 7 1933 a beautiful life was
born in Banner, Oklahoma.
And that life’s name was Barbara Coffman. Barbra lived in
Oklahoma until 1946. When she was thirteen her family moved
to Oregon with just their clothing and a few
house hold items. Her parent’s names were
James and Helen Hoffman.
They moved to the small town of Sweet
Home A.K.A Oaky City. It was populated with
people from Oklahoma and Oregon. All of the
Oregonians at the time worked at the mill which was the
biggest wood mill in Oregon. The Oakies knew how to farm so
they had to learn a new way of life.
