A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EDITION Coffee Cups Up! December Issue, 2013 | Page 34

Hello Randy J,

I'm a 47 year old black man, well established career wise. I have my own house, my own vehicles and all of the luxuries that I personally desire. To make my world complete, I met the love of my life about a year ago. We have been dating steadily strong and I really do love her. I love her so much that I have asked her to marry me. I bought a beautiful engagement ring. I got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. But she didn't say "YES". Instead she very nicely said that she loved me just as much but she needed some time to think about it...and (here is the clincher) she accepted the ring. Here is where I am sort of confused. She wears the ring faithfully as if she did said yes. I am very confused. She hasn't given me an answer yet. Do I assume she will become my wife? Or have I been duped? Hood-winked? Bamboozled? I hate to think of this about my lady but what am I to do? Can you help me understand what just happened?

She Loves Me? She Loves Me Not?
