In-hospital call schedule › PGY-1 averages 1 in 8 nights › PGY-2 averages 1 in 10 nights › PGY-3 averages 1 per month , no weekends and no holidays
Didactics : We offer high-quality didactic sessions over the lunch hour , both in person and virtually . These didactic sessions include resident-led , case-based presentations , morbidity and mortality conferences , journal clubs , and facultyled presentations . Once per month , we have an afternoon workshop session , focused on more hands-on learning , which includes sports medicine procedures , POCUS , women ’ s health procedures and more .
Twice per month Halifax Health Medical Center ’ s Department of Continuing Education has a 60 minute Grand Rounds presentation of timely medical topics , pertinent to primary care . Residents and faculty participate in these presentations .
