HOW THEY MET
Cindy and Federico first met during
childhood as their families were friends
but then they took separate journeys.
After 22 years of not seeing each other,
they met again on Dorado Beach Ritz
Carlton Resort. Cindy hadn’t planned
on going anywhere until her friend
asked if she would accompany her and
her boyfriend to meet with some friends
at the beach...and Federico was there.
Cindy and Federico didn’t speak much
for the first hours, until she had to leave
because of work early the next morning
and still had to cook. That is when he
decided to ask her to lunch the next day
in exchange for her to stay a little longer.
Before letting her go, he insisted on
getting her cellphone number to make
sure she got home safe.
After a couple of delightful dates, where
they were kicked out of restaurants for
remaining after operational hours and
countless hours of interesting phone
conversations, Federico decided it was
time to scale things up. Cindy’s family
had planned a trip to Peru, and after the
fourth day he plotted with Cindy’s
siblings to join the trip. At the end of
the trip Federico told Cindy he wasn’t
coming back to Puerto Rico until she
agreed to become his girlfriend.
