Dallas home prices jump 9 percent, Case-Shiller says

Home prices in the Dallas area increased by 9 percent year over year, according to the latest Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller Home Price index.
The August increase was the highest in the history of the report, according to the Dallas Morning News, and Dallas-area home prices are roughly 5 percent higher than they were before the recession began in 2008.
Home prices rose by 12.8 percent nationwide from August 2012, according to the report.
