RIGHTS is a feminist , non-profit , civil society organization with the aim of preventing and combating sexual violence by providing direct support and assistance to the survivors of sexual violence , as well as the promotion and protection of sexual rights . Their vision is a society free from patriarchy , discrimination , misogyny and violence against women , where individual choice is the fundamental value . This grant is funded by Diana DeVegh .
THE FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY NEIGHBORHOOD HELP PROGRAM provides free contraception , including IUDs and implants , to the uninsured women of Miami-Dade County , who are a microcosm of the world . Particularly in the face of an impending ban on abortion in Florida , access to long-acting and highly effective contraception ensures a level of freedom of choice and bodily decision-making for uterus-bearing people . Specifically , unwanted and unplanned pregnancy , and pregnancy in general , are major risk factors for violence against women ; therefore , improved contraceptive access addresses the issue of violence against women . This grant is to be used specifically to improve the reproductive health care provided to patients on the NeighborhoodHELP mobile health center . This may include , but is not limited to , the purchase of intrauterine devices ( IUDs ), Nexplanons , or depoprovera injections , durable medical equipment needed for contraception-related procedures , and necessary follow-up imaging after contraception-related procedures .
