A little Gray Building

Firefly

I finally captured you, firefly

Fleeting as the dusk

We followed the sullied footprints before us

This stream of demands has cost us our souls

Twisting, turning, the barbed wire cuts us into pieces,

all our hopes and dreams torn

It occurs to me that soon I’ll have to leave

Take a moment to contemplate your shoes

They’ve carried you all over this earth

Part of life is enduring pain

Stay strong

While you can

Just keep your head up

If you can’t bear it, I will catch you
