What are this character's relationships with others?

Assef relationships with other characters and generally really bad. He has power over Amir the whole way through out. He has power over pretty much everyone until chapter 22 when Sohrab gains power over him.

He is an influential person, he controls and manipulates his friends and plays his role as good boy to his parents and their friends. He seems intelligent but uses is his intelligence to cause harm and distress to others, such as Hazara people. He shows no love or kindness to anyone throughout the whole novel - not even his friends or family.

What words or phrases does this character commonly use?

Throughout the novel he refers to Ali as 'Babalu' and refers to both Amir and Hassan as 'kunnis' - 'faggots'. He seems to use a lot of words in a negative intonation such as filth, gays and garbage.

Assef has a distintive sarcastic voice - every situation is one where he can toy with his victims and manipulate them. He talks about how 'liberating' he felt once killing Hazaras (sociopath).
