She has worked as a singer, songwriter and an actress.
In terms of her personal life, she spent the best part of the 70's and 80's battling marijuana addiction and later on cocaine and heroin addiction, as well as suffering from anoxeria. In the 70's she also left her husband and custody of her son, which resulted in her trying to commit suicide. In the 80's she became enrolled in an NHS programme where she began an affair which a mentally ill and drug dependent guy who later commited suicide by jumping 14ft from a flat she shared with him. She also suffered a miscarriage at some point with a daughter who she called Corrine.
