Award-winning Chapel House Estate in Minster is celebrating a year of successes and stunning weddings
Named as the Hospitality and Events Start Up of the Year at the South East finals of the StartUp Awards 2023 , Chapel House Estate is really ending the year on a high - and they ’ ve celebrated some amazing and memorable weddings in 2023 , too .
The family-run independent wedding and events venue opened its doors in July 2022 and has already welcomed many couples into its luxury space . Nestled in romantic gardens and orchards , it has fast become a popular destination for couples to wed , just like Zoe and Kevin Howes , who tied the knot at Chapel House Estate .
We found out what made their day so special …
THE VENUE We went to Greece and Spain looking for venues , but hadn ’ t found anything so we stopped looking . In the end , Zoe saw the open day at Chapel House Estate , and with it being down the road decided to pop down …. the rest is history !
THE CEREMONY Zoe : Seeing Kev waiting at the end of the aisle was a very special moment for me , knowing that he is my forever person and that we were committing to each other .
Kev : Seeing Zoe arrive at the beginning of the aisle was the moment I had been looking forward to most . It was more than I could imagine .
THE RECEPTION We had Chapel House Estate cater our wedding breakfast . It was amazing , and many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was . We chose homemade Scotch eggs to start , roasted lamb with seasonal vegetables and jus for the main and chocolate brownie for dessert , but each course had three great options .
THE ENTERTAINMENT We had Abigail Deeks on the violin for the ceremony , Chelsey Johnson singing through our drinks reception and The Function Band through our wedding breakfast and party . Our first dance was to John Legend Stay with You . We both loved this song as we just felt it reflected our journey so far .
THE PHOTOGRAPHY James Richards Photography was our photographer . We were recommended James , and we are so happy we found him , he ’ s such a good guy . We love all of our wedding photos , I don ’ t think we could choose a favourite .
THE HIGHLIGHT Celebrating love surrounded by our daughters , family and friends is something we could never forget . The Function Band were also unforgettable !
