Weddings are magical at any time of year , but I always think there ’ s something extra special about a winter wedding . The twinkling lights , dark skies and cosy atmosphere really emphasise the celebration of love .
In the last few months I ’ ve been lucky enough to be a wedding guest at some of our beautiful venues right here in Kent , and it ’ s been wonderful to see them all dressed up for winter .
On page 66 we ’ ve rounded up some of the best Kentish venues for you to hold your winter wedding and having witnessed how special some of them are at this time of the year , I can tell you that you ’ ll be spoiled for choice .
Winter is also the time when one of the county ’ s most prestigious award nights takes place - the Kent Wedding Awards . The A Kentish Ceremony team had a wonderful time at the awards celebrating all the outstanding talent in the county - there really are some amazing suppliers . On page 32 you can read more about all the winners and find out what happened during the evening .
As we say a fond farewell to 2023 , we also look to the year ahead and to the trends that ’ ll be big news for weddings in 2024 . On page 26 we explore everything from fashion to food , on page 122 we take a look at the future of flowers , and if you head to page 116 an expert fills us in on how to up your wedding dessert game .
