OUR KENTISH CEREMONY
MARRIED AT BRADBOURNE HOUSE EAST MALLING
VIKTORIJA KUNCYTĖ-JOHNSON AND DAVID JOHNSON WANTED A FAIRYTALE WEDDING , AND THEY GOT THEIR DREAM DAY AT BRADBOURNE HOUSE

THE VENUE We wanted something ‘ fairytale-looking ’; breathtaking and majestic , with lovely architecture inside and out . We were also looking for a lighter colour palette , and Bradbourne House ’ s main room offered a superb pastel blue and gold combination . As soon as we saw Bradbourne House , we knew it was the one !
THE OUTFITS I researched designers rather than shops , as I knew that I wanted something modern , bold and timeless . Once I knew what I wanted , Justin Alexander ’ s signature collection was a perfect fit and I found ‘ the one ’ in the London Bride Couture boutique .
To complete my look , I had a pair of white Dior heels for the ceremony and some silver glitter Jimmy Choo flats for the evening . David went for two different pairs of Christian Louboutins , and had two suits too - a nice classic suit for the day and a traditional Indian outfit for the evening .
THE DECOR Our beautiful flowers were created by Ashleigh Hopkins Florist , who did the bride and bridesmaids ’ bouquets , plus all of the flowers for the venue . We wanted the wedding to have some personal touches so I then handmade everything else including our guest books , jewellery boxes , name cards , signage , and other table decor pieces .
THE SPEECHES We wanted to add a little bit of feminism into our wedding , so I started with a speech . This was followed by David ’ s , which made everyone tear up . And then we had my mum ’ s speech , which was extremely cute , followed by the best man ’ s speech .
THE FIRST DANCE We picked ‘ Rewrite the Stars ’ by Zac Efron and Zendaya from The Greatest Showman as we both love musicals , and it seemed like a really sweet song .
THE HIGHLIGHT Our absolute highlight of the day was when the registrar announced that we were now husband and wife .
