OUR KENTISH CEREMONY
MARRIED AT WINTERS BARNS
CANTERBURY CANDY AND CHRIS SOLLY CELEBRATED THEIR SPECIAL DAY IN A ROMANTIC BARN SETTING SURROUNDED BY THEIR NEAREST AND DEAREST

THE VENUE We had been to visit Winters Barns twice before we booked ; we both liked the outdoor ceremony area and having separate indoor areas for dining and dancing . We ’ d been to five or six venues beforehand , but for us Winters Barns just ticked everything on our wish list for our venue - there was nothing we could fault with it .
THE OUTFITS I got my wedding dress from Isabella Grace in Tunbridge Wells . I went in with an open mind wanting to try each style on and this one was the one I felt most like myself and comfortable in . The groom and groomsmen ’ s suits were from Moss Bros and we chose them because they cater for all shapes and sizes , and the bridesmaid dresses were multiway dresses from La Closet De Chanel .
THE HAIR AND MAKEUP My makeup was done by a lovely lady called Liss Lacáo who was so nice . My hair was done by one of my good friends , Kerrie , from
Bridal Hair By Kerrie . I had many hair trials with Kerrie - she must have tried every style on me , but once I had picked my dress I knew I wanted all of my hair up . With my makeup , I didn ’ t want anything too dark - I wanted to keep it light and natural looking .
THE CEREMONY Walking out of the ceremony room as husband and wife was definitely my favourite moment of the ceremony . We also had an artist called Grace Grundy who sang a selection of our favourite songs , which sounded amazing .
THE DÉCOR Our colour scheme was lemon yellow teamed with grey and silver . I had seen some pictures on Pinterest and felt they worked well together . Michele from FlowerArt was our florist - she is one of Winters Barns ’ recommended suppliers and she didn ’ t disappoint . We left Michele to work her magic as we have no idea about flowers and what would work together , but we had a mixture of beautiful roses , peonies and many more . To add some personal touches to the day , we had some photos printed from memories of our time together which we had hung up on a dresser and we also had one of my friends , Sarah from All You Need Wedding Styling , who was just amazing and helped me with some different ideas on décor - things that I hadn ’ t thought of .
THE PHOTOGRAPHY Louisa and Duncan Dettmer were our photographers . I met Louisa at a wedding fair - Chris and I had only been engaged a few weeks and hadn ’ t even got a venue yet , but I just liked Louisa at our first meeting and luckily they were available once we had booked the venue . We just wanted nice natural photos and Louisa and Duncan didn ’ t disappoint . Louisa also recommended Luke from Look Back and Remember for our videography .
THE HIGHLIGHT For us , the highlight was having all of our nearest and dearest there to celebrate our wedding .
