Bring the look together with a soft pink lip in a creamy or gloss texture . These are all set to be a hit this summer .
HOW DO SUMMER MAKEUP LOOKS DIFFER FROM OTHER SEASONS ? Most of my brides take their colour theme into consideration when choosing makeup tones . Spring and summer trends are a lot lighter and brighter , whereas autumn and winter are deeper and richer in colour .
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR MAKING SURE WEDDING MAKEUP LASTS ON HOT SUMMER DAYS ? Grab some blotting papers ! They are great for getting rid of excess oil and even sweat , especially in the heat . Using these will keep your makeup intact unlike tissues . To use , dab the paper on the skin to absorb excess oil . Then , add powder if needed .
DO YOU HAVE ANY INSIDER SECRETS WHEN IT COMES TO WEDDING MAKEUP ? Using a cream liner in the waterline brightens the eye and takes away any redness . This is particularly great if you ’ re tearful or had a sleepless night the night before !
HOW CAN YOU USE PRODUCTS WITH SPF ON A WEDDING DAY BUT STILL CREATE A LOOK THAT ’ LL WORK IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA ? The term ‘ flashback ’ does refer to the flash aspect of photography , but if you ’ re worried about SPF being an issue in your photos then don ’ t be - your wedding photographer will be making the most of natural light as much as possible and won ’ t be using harsh studio lighting . But , you do still need to think about your evening guests taking photos on phones with a flash !
To avoid a harsh flashback you can ;
• Opt to lower your SPF
• Don ’ t overuse SPF - for your wedding look keep products containing SPF to a minimum
• Look at professional foundations made for studio work - most of these contain no more than SPF 15 due to the flashback
• If your wedding day is completely inside , consider taking your SPF out of your makeup routine .
