OUR KENTISH CEREMONY
MARRIED AT OAKWOOD HOUSE
MAIDSTONE DANIEL AND KEELEY SUTTON WERE ONE OF THE FIRST COUPLES TO TIE THE KNOT AT OAKWOOD HOUSE , THE NEWLY REFURBISHED COUNTY REGISTER OFFICE FOR KENT

THE VENUE To choose our venue , we looked through the venues on A Kentish Ceremony ’ s website and Oakwood suited our budget and we loved the look of it . We didn ’ t look at any other venues - Oakwood was perfect for us ; it had the right amount of space for our small intimate family wedding , and we loved the exterior of the venue and also the new look inside .
THE OUTFITS As a pregnant bride who needed to fit in a blooming bump , my original dress ( which we are saving for a renewal in the Maldives eventually ) didn ’ t fit and couldn ’ t be altered . I searched for weeks online and in bridal shops but nothing made me feel like a bride . I was browsing the Boohoo bridesmaid collection online when I saw my dress , and immediately snapped it up for £ 30 ! When I tried it on I had a little cry - I had finally found something elegant , bridal , and something that complemented the bump as well . I had nothing but compliments on the day from everyone . I felt amazing at a time when you definitely do not usually feel that way !
Daniel ’ s outfit was a subtle grey tartan suit from Suit Direct with a dusty pink tie and a groovy pocket tissue to stand out .
THE CEREMONY We both agree that the best part of our ceremony was our ‘ first look ’ at not only each other but at the kids for the first time , as we had separated the boys and the girls . It was so beautiful to see us all dressed up and having all that love in the room . We walked down the aisle to You Are The Reason by Calum Scott . It ’ s such a beautiful song and hearing it now fills me with so much love . It ’ s played regularly around the house .
THE RECEPTION After our ceremony at Oakwood House , we travelled to Ashford Golf Club , where my dad has been a member for over 20 years . We held our reception there and enjoyed a meal , and some great speeches from my dad , Dan and then Dan ’ s brother Beau who was his best man .
THE PHOTOGRAPHY For our photography we used Sue ’ s Special Days . Her package stood out from the rest and we received our photographs not even a week later on a USB . She was amazing with our family , children and us . Sue really listened to what we wanted and got some amazing snaps .
Some of our favourite photos from the day include one of us and our beautiful children outside the venue , one of us in the study room at Oakwood House after we were announced as officially being married , and one of us on the stairwell having a smooch !
THE HIGHLIGHT For me , the highlight was marrying my best friend and having our closest family and children with us to witness it .
