OUR KENTISH CEREMONY
Married At The Orangery

Abbie and Nick had not one , but two Kentish venues for their fun-filled wedding day

The Venue We always knew we wanted a venue that had beautiful gardens and had always discussed an orangery style venue or manor house that could fit all our guests . We looked at lots of local venues and weren ’ t sure on any of them in terms of all our requirements . We went to look at The Orangery as our last venue and just fell in love with it and booked it the same day !
We also decided to book Battel Hall at Leeds Castle for us and our bridal party for the wedding weekend . It ’ s a stunning 5 bedroom manor house on the Leeds Castle grounds that we have always loved , but it was too intimate for our guest numbers .
The Dress I had two outfits for the wedding , one for the day and one for the evening so I was more comfortable . I bought my day dress at Perfection Bridal in Maidstone , and it was from Justin Alexander . I had looked online for a while at specifically minimalist long sleeve dresses , as I knew this is the style I wanted to go for . I knew it was ‘ the one ’ because I instantly felt comfortable in it , and I loved the sheer floaty sleeves . For the evening , I chose a long sleeve sequin wedding dress from ASOS , which felt more ‘ party ’!
The Entertainment We had the amazing Robyn Taylor who did a guitar and singing set after the ceremony , a sax and singing set during the gin hour , and a sax set for the evening . She is phenomenal and we would recommend her to anyone ! We also had a DJ which was included in our package with The Orangery .
The Photography Our photographer was Photos from Sophie , and we also had Dani as a second shooter . They both complimented each other and worked together perfectly . We chose Sophie because we loved the style of her photos which were more candid and relaxed but still luxury and she felt like someone who we would get on well with on the day , which we did ! She and Dani really brought the energy and made us feel more comfortable .
The Highlight One of our favourite moments was after the wedding breakfast and speeches , our photographers took us for a walk around the beautiful grounds at golden hour , playing some of our favourite songs . It was so calming and lovely and a chance to take it all in together .
The Decor We had all white flowers with a neutral colour theme and gold accents . We thought this complimented our style and the venue best . It gave it a romantic , classic feel .
