OUR KENTISH CEREMONY
MARRIED AT THE OLD KENT BARN
SWINGFIELD MALIKA EBRAHIM AND DANIEL DANBY HELD A MAGICAL WEDDING DAY AT THE OLD KENT BARN , COMPLETE WITH A FIRST DANCE THAT THEY CHOREOGRAPHED THEMSELVES

THE VENUE We were unsure what style of wedding venue we wanted so we viewed manor houses , barns and marquees . When we visited The Old Kent Barn , we were struck by the unique barn style ; traditional and modern at the same time with a beautiful outdoor ceremony area .
Whilst the venue was beautiful , what solidified our decision to have our wedding at TOKB was the passion and service the team provided ! We can honestly say , it was an upper echelon of service that neither of us had experienced before .
THE OUTFITS The bridal dress was made by a family friend who is an independent tailor from North London , I had a vision in my head , and she brought it to life ! The groom ’ s suit was made in Moss Bros which is where Daniel used to work and where we met !
THE CEREMONY My favourite moment of the ceremony was seeing my husbandto-be at the end of the altar . My nerves were instantly calmed the moment we held hands , so much so that we giggled for the rest of the ceremony !
THE FOOD TOKB does all the catering in-house ; since this was a mixed cultural wedding , I was initially worried that it may not cover food from my culture but the chef was amazing and worked with me to create a bespoke menu which was delicious !
Our wedding cake was made by BlueBirds Bakehouse and it was amazing . Daniel took charge on this and went for a three tier cake with a different flavour per tier which included lemon drizzle , biscoff and vanilla .
THE FIRST DANCE We chose Golden Hour by Jvke as our first dance song , it was a newer song we both loved while we were deciding which song to pick . Daniel and I choreographed our dance ourselves which made it so much more special .
THE PHOTOGRAPHY Our wedding photographer was @ costaweddingsuk . I loved his style as he had a mix of both natural and posed photos . Constantin was a part of our wedding day as well as the photographer and I feel lucky that we had him on the day .
We also had a videographer who captured the day very cinematically .
THE HIGHLIGHT Our first dance was a special moment as we ’ re not professional dancers but we took the time to choreograph something of our own . Proud to say neither of us fell over !
