WHEN SELECTING A FLORIST , WHAT SHOULD A COUPLE LOOK FOR ? We advise that you check you are booking a proper florist - not a stylist who does a little floristry on the side and isn ’ t trained .
A proper florist would have trained for at least three years at floristry college and an experienced wedding florist will have at least three years ’ experience before they take on your wedding .
Also check that the florist is a member of The Good Florist Guide - this is the Michelin stars of the floristry world - all florists within this scheme would have been checked by fellow professionals and reached a very high standard .
Look at their previous work on their website and social media . Is there an abundance of creativity , colour and texture harmonies , beautiful flow from the bouquets through to ceremony and reception flowers ?
Check that their photos on social media are real life weddings and not just styled shoots .
Also , have they worked at the venue before ? Ask for examples and recommendations of what works . If they are recommended by your venue this is always an advantage .
Look at Google reviews and comments on social media from past couples - it ’ s important to research what other couples have experienced and their feedback is really helpful .
Lastly , but importantly , do look for a florist that suits your style , vibe and budget for your wedding .
