THE VENUE During our visit to the Detling Wedding Fair , we came across the stunning Plough venue . The way they presented themselves at the fair piqued our interest , compelling us to pay them a visit later that afternoon . As we walked through the venue , we were captivated by its charm and beauty . It became clear to us that this was the ideal location for our wedding .
The Plough was an absolute gem of a venue for our Kentish ceremony . From the moment we arrived , we were taken aback by the breathtaking beauty of the barn . Its rustic charm and cosy atmosphere created an intimate setting that perfectly suited our vision . The presence of a magnificent Willow tree in the garden added an enchanting touch , providing a picturesque backdrop for our ceremony . Choosing The Plough was truly the best decision we made , and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple seeking a magical and unforgettable wedding experience .
THE OUTFITS We were thrilled to discover the perfect wedding outfits from Well Suited in Dartford . The service provided by the shop exceeded our expectations , as they went above and beyond to ensure that every suit was tailored to fit each individual perfectly . This level of attention to detail set them apart from the mainstream hire shops . They were able to accommodate all 12 suits and even provided us with matching shoes .
THE CEREMONY The exchange of rings during the ceremony was undeniably the most special moment for us . The symbolism behind this act , signifying our eternal bond , held immense significance . What made it even more heartfelt was the inclusion of our beloved niece , who played the role of the adorable flower girl and had the honour of presenting the rings . Her presence added an extra touch of love and innocence to the already magical occasion .
THE FOOD The culinary experience at The Plough surpassed all expectations , leaving a lasting impression on both us and our guests . The food was nothing short of exceptional , and we continue to receive enthusiastic comments about its quality .
For our cake , we wanted to embrace our roller coaster theme . After exploring various options , we were captivated by the artistry of Shelley ’ s Cakes , and without hesitation , we knew they were the ideal choice . The cake itself was a work of edible art , meticulously designed to resemble a thrilling roller coaster ride . From the intricate sugar-crafted tracks and loops to the vibrant colours and lifelike details , every element was flawlessly executed . It was a sight to behold !
THE DÉCOR Our chosen theme was a thrilling ode to roller coasters , and we painted the event with a vibrant colour scheme of royal blue and burgundy . These hues are our personal favourites , thus , adding a personal touch to the celebration and making it feel truly ‘ us .’ To help bring our vision to life , we enlisted the expertise of Claire from CS Creative Events . She beautifully handled the chair covers , runners , bows , and a selection of decorative elements , infusing our space with charm and elegance .
THE FIRST DANCE To prepare for our memorable first dance , we sought expertise from Five Star Wedding Dance in Tunbridge Wells . Our instructor , Nicola , was instrumental in our preparations , providing us with not only the choreography but also the confidence to perform it flawlessly . We cherished this unique experience , as it not only showcased one of our favourite songs ( I Love You Always and Forever by Betty ) but also allowed us to create a personalised , choreographed dance that reflected the love and joy of our wedding day .
