As a wedding photographer , I am a storyteller . I follow a couple ’ s most precious day and capture the love , fun and atmosphere of their wedding .
I am based in the village of Wye , near Ashford , Kent , and have been a professional wedding photographer for the past 14 years . I studied photography at college and have worked in many different areas of photography . I love travel and family photography but have truly fallen in love with photographing weddings .
My style is natural and relaxed , capturing the day as it happens , as unobtrusively as possible . I have never liked having my photograph taken or being the centre of attention ; I am much happier behind the lens ! Because of this , I empathise with my couples , as invariably at least one partner is not relishing the idea of being photographed all day . Therefore , I try to keep the process as natural as possible , as the more relaxed you are , the better the photos will look .
Every wedding is special and individual , even if it ’ s at a venue I regularly attend and I feel very privileged to be able to capture their day . My aim is to take as many unposed shots as possible , romantic couple shots usually follow the group shots , letting family and guests head back to the bar while my couple and I go for a relaxed wander and chat before we get started , keeping it chilled and fun .
Positive feedback is great for marketing and it is so lovely to hear how my photographs have made a couple feel .
