Timeline Before the Meeting 1. 2. If you have an agenda, write the agenda down/put it in a document so you are ready for the meeting. If it’s more of an informal meeting, don’t worry about this! You don’t need an agenda to take minutes. I do suggest talking to whoever is running the meeting just to get a loose agenda so you have a bit of an idea, but you can take minutes from scratch too and organize later.
