2. Bowled: If the bowler manages to hit the stumps that the batsman is protecting, the batsman is out. There are no multiple strikes. One hit to the stumps and the batsman has to leave the field. 3. Run-Out: Similar to baseball, if the fielding side manages to hit the stumps before any of the batters manages to reach the safe zone (called the crease) in the act of running for scoring runs, the player is out. 4. Stumped: If the wicket keeper collects the ball after it is pitched and knocks the stumps while the batsman is not in the safe zone, the batsman will be out. This typically happens against slower bowlers who spin the ball and lure the batsman out or if the batsman loses his balance and is momentarily out of the crease.
