Council on Crime showed that 24% of black males between ages 18-35 have been mistreated by officers in the past month, 22% between ages 35-54 felt the same and 11% 55 or older agreed. Conclusions: The findings show that there are a lot of black males had contact with the police and felt mistreated backs up the fact that Black males are being treated differently when in contact with the police. If almost a quarter of the people felt that they had been mistreated that indicates racial profiling is a major problem for African Americans then why are no actions taking place? Why there aren’t any other polls on other races be shown to see the percentages of police brutality by race? Proving those facts can make a difference in the world and hopefully lower the percentages of minority being mistreated by police officers all over the world.
