Tanner Keeney works in Marshalltown’s distribution center. She
started when she was 19, but she plans to have a career at the
company until she retires.
“I didn’t know if I wanted to go to college and was working as a
waitress,” she says. “It wasn’t good hours, and I didn’t have any
benefits. I have family members who worked at Marshalltown, and
they said it was a good place to work.”
A few months after she started, Keeney was promoted to a full
time position. “This company is really good to employees. They
offer good pay and benefits, and it’s a fast-paced environment. If
you’re not sure about college, this is a good option. I plan to keep
moving up.”
Maricella Lachino also started as a temporary employee before
being asked to stay on. She says she didn’t really know anything
about Marshalltown when she was hired.
“This was my first job, and I didn’t know much about it,” she
recalls. She soon found it was more than just a job. “I would
absolutely recommend Marshalltown to someone just starting their
career.”
“I like that the company has a culture of respect and everyone is
treated well from top to bottom. It’s a good place to work,” she
adds.
Colton Barnum, a Lincoln High graduate, began his career in
production four years ago.
“Marshalltown takes extremely good care of its employees and
shows appreciation with quarterly events, safety bonuses and free
movie passes for your birthday. These little things really add up,”
he says. “If you try your best and learn new things, your effort is
rewarded.”
For success at Marshalltown, you need to demonstrate the
company’s values of safety, quality and productivity. To apply, you
must to be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or
