So another season begins, and this time, after a summer of change. Since their last league game, ICT have changed their manager and have brought in four players, that all look like starters, with the club working hard to bring more in the door.

Inverness and Partick Thistle breezed through to the second round of the Betfred Cup, so, both sides will feel confident going into this one.

A familiar face will in the Thistle ranks this weekend as Danny Devine is expected to make his league debut at Firhill against his former side. Devine left ICT this summer, after making 84 apps for the club, while he did have some great moments at the club he has had a mistake in him at points. He’s been replaced by Kevin McNaugton at Centre Back.

Firhill has been a funny ground for ICT, since Partick’s return to the top flight- three losses, two draws and two wins in all competitions but our last visit resulted in a big 4-1 win.

Josh Meekings could return, after being out for the majority of pre-season, while Aaron Doran make his first appearance in a year after being fit enough for the bench against Arbroath.

Richie Foran’s first test comes against Alan Archibald and with a run of fixtures against Ross County, Hearts, St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Celtic upcoming, three points would be nice!
