ICT got their first chance of the game as Andrew Macrae’s ball was headed by Jamie Wilson and it was dealt with badly by Ricky Gomez but Arbroath got it clear.

ICT then had their best chance on the match as they launched a counter attack, from an Arbroath corner, and it fell to Andrew Macrae who’s run, which started on the halfway line, ended in time losing the ball in the box after a strong tackle.

Arbroath then began to up the tempo and were rewarded shortly after. Bobby Linn’s cross wasn’t cut out and Omar Kader finished past Stephen Foster.

It was 2-0 to the visitors moments later as Bobby Linn’s corner was head home by Colin Hamilton.

The second half was chance starved with both sides pretty even.

Arbroath did get the killer goal as a counter attack from an ICT corner resulted in, playmarker, Bobby Linn teeing up Martin Scott and he made it 3-0.

A learning curve for a very young ICT side with some good moments of play but the experience of the older players played into Arbroath’s favour and they advance to the second round.
