Different Stages of Development

Creative thinking is a cognitive activity. The stages of development changes as the level goes up. The levels are in groups, such as, Foundation to Year 2, Year 3 to 6, Year 7 to 10 and Year 10 to 12. Each learning areas has different outcomes and expectations. ACARA provides a detailed overview of outcomes and expectations of learning in all stages of development under ‘General Capabilities’ in the Curriculum. Each of the stage of intellectual development will be explained in terms of the following variables:
