Kelsey Breisch , Jahan Kazi , Krishna Patel , Adrianna Zamichieli * De-escalating Aggressive Behavior in Cognitively or Psychologically Impaired Clients It is vital to recognize the possibility of risks from patients with escalating aggressive behaviors . Failure to recognize these aggressive behaviors poses a significant threat of encountering violent and aggressive behaviors , thus impacting the client ’ s physical , spiritual , and mental wellbeing . The purpose of this literature review was to collect data to recognize and prevent triggers and find the best early and late interventions for deescalating aggression . The findings of this research were passed to the Mustard Seed groups in Jamaica , where caregivers were educated to apply these interventions to the residents in escalating moments .
Stephanie Jackson , Kailee Montgomery , Shannon O ’ Day , and Cianni Wadley-Lopez * Self-Care Techniques to Reduce Caretaker Stress Self-care is essential for our mental , physical , and social wellbeing . Without utilizing self-care techniques , stress , anxiety , depression , and other negative health outcomes can occur ( Lawler , 2021 ). Stress management techniques as part of a regular self-care regimen are positive interventions that can be used by caregivers in Mustard Seed Communities . This will help the caregivers avoid the common occurrence of physical and mental burnout that is so prevalent amongst healthcare workers , especially after enduring added stress due to the Covid-19 pandemic .
