Tools to Construct the Perfect Internal Audit Plan
One of the expected duties of the Supervisory
Committee is to establish and maintain an effective
internal audit function. With often limited resources, you
have the tough task of evaluating and testing the credit
union’s internal controls in a relevant and independent
manner. This session will cover the many tools available
to volunteers and internal auditors as they create and
navigate through risk assessments, audit plans and
reporting structures. Get ideas from case studies of the
various approaches and techniques being used today.

To attract and retain employees, your credit union may
be offering incentive compensation arrangements.
Although a popular benefit tool, incentive plans often
come with risks. Particularly difficult to identify and
manage, these risks require credit unions to implement
robust risk management processes to ensure proper
alignment of incentive compensation with both
strategic objectives and risk appetite. Join this session
to gain insight on how to properly audit these plans and
safeguard the credit union.
